    Dr. Shahriar Jalali

    Dentist & Owner

    Dr. Shahriar Jalali is a general dentist with a specialized background in Laser Dentistry. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Isfahan University of Medical Sciences in 1994 and went on to complete a Master of Science (MSc) in Laser Dentistry at RWTH Aachen University in Germany in 2012.

    For 18 years, Dr. Jalali owned and operated a fully equipped dental clinic in Iran, where he gained extensive experience in both general and laser dentistry. After immigrating to Canada, he successfully completed all National Dental Board exams in succession and obtained his licence to practice General Dentistry.

    Dr. Jalali is a highly qualified and dedicated professional who has delivered numerous oral presentations on cosmetic and laser dentistry at both local and international conferences.

    Drawing on his advanced education in Laser Dentistry, Dr. Jalali’s practice is equipped with a broad range of laser technologies, enabling him to offer a variety of minimally invasive treatment options. He is also extensively trained in Integrated Implantology. By utilizing 3D Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) in combination with Intra-Oral Scanning, he creates precise 3D models of his patients’ oral structures. This approach allows for implant placement with minimal bleeding and highly accurate, tissue-conserving procedures.

    Additionally, Dr. Jalali is trained in Invisalign Orthodontics. When paired with digital scanning and intra-oral imaging, he can deliver highly effective and personalized orthodontic solutions.

    Committed to continuous learning and innovation, Dr. Jalali has also pursued training in CAD/CAM technology, which enables him to design and fabricate crowns, onlays, and other restorations in a single appointment.

    Outside the clinic, Dr. Jalali enjoys spending time with his family, biking, and camping. He values open communication with his patients and welcomes any questions or concerns.

    I have been a patient with the Downtown Dental Clinic for many years and am very happy with the level of service and professionalism. They consistently assign me the same friendly hygienist, who is careful but at the same time very thorough in her cleaning. The dentists and hygienists keep me posted about my insurance will pay so there are no unpleasant surprises, and I have the impression they prefer to monitor potential problems and not recommend intervention until it is really necessary. I look forward to many more years of great service at the Downtown Dental Clinic.

    I had a great experience with Dr. Jalali and Dr. Saman. Both of them are professional, friendly, and make you feel very comfortable during the treatment. I had a root canal and a filling done, and everything went perfectly, painless, smooth, and with excellent care. They really take the time to explain the process and ensure you feel relaxed. Highly recommend this dental clinic if you’re looking for skilled and caring dentists!

The dentist and the assistant were absolutely amazing — they were both kind, gentle, and very professional, making sure I felt comfortable throughout the procedure.     Tamara is my hygienist, and she’s always calm, attentive, and makes sure I’m comfortable throughout my visit. The front office team is friendly, social, and very sweet, which makes every appointment a pleasant experience. I don’t recall my dentist’s name, but he did an excellent job with clear instructions and in removing my wisdom teeth. This is truly my number one choice for dentistry.
