Veneers are used to improve the look of a tooth or teeth. The colour, shape, size, and spacing can be changed with veneers. Broken, chipped, misaligned and discoloured teeth can be resorted with veneers. They can be made of either porcelain or composite resin. Composite resin veneers are done chair side whereas porcelain veneers are fabricated at a dental lab.
Composite resin veneers are more economical but less durable than those made of porcelain. Porcelain are less prone to staining and more conservative but cannot be easily repaired. For a more confident smile, whether it be porcelain or composite veneers, ask your dentist if you might be a candidate.
While not everyone is a good candidate for veneers; a consultation is required first to ensure a veneer is an option for you.
